[edit] Report Errors
I'm here to report that, at the moment uploading files does not work. Please fix this. It says "The file you uploaded seems to be empty. This might be due to a typo in the filename. Please check whether you really want to upload this file." - LinktersHD
- Fixed thank you for reporting the error! --user:mpcovcd
Error is still there. It says: Could not create directory "mwstore://local-backend/local-public/1/1f" Please fix this. LinktersHD (talk) 11:50, 3 August 2012 (UTC)
[edit] Ace of Spades page
So we have a wiki about Ace of Spades, but here is no Ace of Spades page? You serious? Guy299 (T|C) 18:26, 16 August 2012 (UTC)
[edit] Page Counter Reset-April 23rd
Due to griefing, the page counter needed to be reset in order to reverse the damage that was done. The counter clocked in at roughly 39,000 hits prior to the reset. ---Inheritor
We are nearing 100,000 total hits! (this is INCLUDING the 39k we lost due to griefing on the 23rd.) Our first huge milestone, accomplished!
[edit] Template Suggestion
A good template to make would be a user's template, so that someone can just fill it out and then be done. Usually what I see people doing is writing a few lines or nothing at all, myself included. Something along the lines of User:Andrea or more simply User:Inheritor. Just wanted to point that out. --MissionCo 21:42, 28 April 2011 (EDT)
- That's a good idea, I would create the template myself, but I don't know how to make (or code) it. Hopefully someone can do it. --Andrea 22:12, 28 April 2011 (EDT)
- I wasn't sure who could, because I couldn't find it anywhere. Thanks for noticing --MissionCo 22:21, 28 April 2011 (EDT)
[edit] Maintenance
Hello everyone, I would like to start off this subject by simply saying thank you for all the hard work you have put into this wiki! We are finally to the point where their is very few things we could add to this wiki to improve it, just a few touch ups here and there. What this means is that we have finally reached the point where all we need to do is maintain the quality of the site, as the game grows so will the wiki. Keep up the great work everyone.--Inheritor
I am also removing outdated talk subjects from various places, to avoid clutter.--Inheritor
[edit] Semi-major Overhaul Proposal
There are too many subtle changes to list, so I'll just link to the screenshot: [1]
The info in Gameplay/Tutorials may be a little too condensed, so I won't argue if you don't like it that way. However, I strongly suggest we should implement everything else (take a good look at the screenshot). I'll admit that my proposal is slightly unoriginal since I based some forms of content/spacing from the Minecraft Wiki. --Lythrynyx 17:08, 15 May 2011 (EDT)
- I agree with the proposal to change the layout. On the subject of your screenshot, it seems very wide.. I would make each of the sections around 3/4 of the size in order to fit it all in. I like the expanded game blurb, though maybe reword to remove the slightly out-of-place 'he or she'. It's unoriginal, but it works very well in my opinion. --TheGrandmaster 02:57, 16 May 2011 (EDT)
- I'll see if I can take a screenshot under a lower resolution. If the content doesn't fit correctly or is very condensed (inaesthetically pleasing), I'll ignore that part of the proposal. I don't think there's any other workaround for "he or she", because "they" is grammatically incorrect (I need to get rid of this OCD). ;) --Lythrynyx 10:19, 16 May 2011 (EDT)
- Alright, here's a lower resolution (1280x1024) screenshot: [2] --Lythrynyx 21:55, 16 May 2011 (EDT)
- I agree to layout change proposal. If the 'he/she' sentence is not being reworded - 'battle firefights' is the only other odd bit, since the two words are pretty much the same thing. But yes, I agree to the change. --TheGrandmaster 02:49, 17 May 2011 (EDT)
- "Battle" is acting as the verb, but firefights can be removed. Either way, thanks for liking the proposal! --Lythrynyx 09:24, 17 May 2011 (EDT)
- Alright, here's the raw code for a final review: http://pastebin.com/zTnStnCp --Lythrynyx 19:45, 1 June 2011 (EDT)
- Nice job - looks alot better than the current one. --TheGrandmaster 04:53, 2 June 2011 (EDT)

[edit] Another shuffle of the main page
It has been suggested (and I agree) that the main page could do with a little facelift. I realise Mpcovcd added some images in, but they seem a bit randomly placed and makes some boxes bigger than they need to be. Also, there's nothing to really 'centre' the attention on - the 'About' box doesn't draw the attention much - and for new people to the wiki it should be one of the first things to see.
Other information could be put into that box, such as important links to places on the wiki - staff, community portal - make that first box contain all the basics a new user to the wiki would need to know.
How to achieve this? Some kind of shuffle/re-design. Suggestions and ideas? --TheGrandmaster 09:23, 16 June 2012 (EDT)
- It also might be nice to completely re-do the css and styling. Change the fonts to make it more AoS-like, and get the wiki its own banner and logo (which would free up the actual logo to appear in the 'about' box. --TheGrandmaster 10:54, 16 June 2012 (EDT)
