Talk:Custom maps

We should have a tutorial on how to create custom maps, I would do it, but I have no idea how to.

The tutorial = the voxedhlp.txt file. All the information in there is a tutorial itself however there are 80+ commands... I suppose it may be handy for people to get a grip with numbered-cursors because they are actually pretty useful.. I might do it if I find time, or just start it and leave people to add things... So I've gone ahead and populated this page with a list of maps that we were discussing in this thread on the AoS forums: http://ace-spades.com/forums/topic.php?id=3128 . I split the list in two, with "notable" maps and "others" -- I expect most maps to end up in "others" but for now I populated with just the well-known maps. I'm not sure about the whole sorting-by-author thing, but it felt redundant to keep saying the author of the map multiple times, and it helps for dealing with cases like mine where there's already a single web page with multiple maps. People who have strong feelings about this are welcome to reorganize, to move the lists onto other pages, or whatever as they think is appropriate. Could we maybe add a column of little previews of the maps? It'd help a lot with recognition and stuff, I think. --Ace 00:04, 12 July 2011 (CDT)
