Controls

Ace of Spades uses the standard control scheme of mouse and keyboard controls as input.

As of 0.60 beta, controls can be customized by editing the controls.ini file. Controls are stored as DirectInput scancodes.

Default Controls

Mouse	Function
Left Click	Fire weapon; Destroy blocks; Place blocks; Throw grenade.
Scroll Wheel	Scroll through available weapons.
Right Click	Iron Sights (when gun is equipped); Dig (when Shovel is equipped).
Movement	Turning; Aiming.

Keyboard	Function
W	Move forward.
A	Move left.
S	Move backward.
D	Move right.
E	Color Sample (when block is equipped).
Spacebar	When you press SPACE you will jump two blocks high
Left Shift	Run.
Left CTRL	Crouch.
1-5	Selects weapon in slot 1-5.
R	Reload gun.
Arrow Keys	Change block color.
M	Press M to view a bigger scale of the map in which you are playing in
Tab	Show Scoreboard.
T	When you use Global Chat everyone on the server will see your message
Y	Team chat.
Enter	Send message (when chat is shown).
,	Team selection interface. Once open, use '1' to join the Blue Team and '2' to join the Green Team
.	Class/weapon selection interface. Once open, use '1' to select the Rifle,'2' to select the Submachine gun and '3' to select the Shotgun
Keypad +/-	Increase/decrease volume.
F1	Save Map. (Note: Saved as "lastmap" in your vxl subfolder/Ace of Spades folder)
F11	Netgraph. Shows player ping and information such as packet loss.
ESC	Quit game dialogue. Press Y to exit, or N to remain in the game.

How to change controls

To change your controls :

1. Go to: C:\Ace of Spades (by default)
2. Open the file called "controls.ini" with your favorite text editor.
3. Follow the instructions in the file.
