Votekick

A votekick is the result of multiple players agreeing to have another player (or players) removed from the server they are playing on. Administrators of the server also have the power to kick players without voting. Kicking usually happens as a result of a player griefing, hacking, or not following the mutually agreed upon rules for a server. Votekicking was added to the game in Beta 0.25.

[edit] Process

A votekick is begun by a player entering the command into the chat bar in-game, often then announcing a reason as to why they feel the specific player should be removed.

[edit] How to Votekick

  1. Find out either the accused player's name or ID (number prefixed by a #) on the scoreboard.
  2. Then enter /votekick <players name> <reason> or /votekick <players id> <reason> in the chat bar.
  3. Players who agree with the votekick should cast their vote by typing /y in the chat bar - when enough players have done this the player who was the subject of the votekick will be disconnected from the server. If there are not enough players who agree with the votekick, it will timeout after a short while and further voting is no longer possible on that vote. As of beta 0.54, there is no way to disagree with a votekick. A votekick can be cancelled by the player who initiated the process by typing /n.

[edit] Requirements

25% of the players on the server must agree to kick a player before the punishment is initiated. On a full 32 player server, 8 votes are required to kick a player (including the person who initiated the vote). This can vary depending on the Pyspades configuration.
